Tender steak, peppers, and melted cheese come together on a crispy pizza crust for a flavorful meal.

# What You'll Need:

→ Pizza Base

01 - 1 prepared pizza dough (12-inch diameter)
02 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
03 - 2 tablespoons cornmeal for dusting

→ Steak and Vegetables

04 - 8 ounces ribeye steak, thinly sliced
05 - 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
06 - 1 small green bell pepper, thinly sliced
07 - 1 small red bell pepper, thinly sliced
08 - 1 small yellow onion, thinly sliced
09 - 1 garlic clove, minced
10 - ½ teaspoon kosher salt
11 - ¼ teaspoon black pepper

→ Cheese and Garnish

12 - 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
13 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
14 - ½ cup shredded white cheddar cheese (optional)
15 - 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)

# Steps:

01 - Set oven temperature to 450°F. If using a pizza stone, place it inside the oven to preheat thoroughly.
02 - Lightly dust a pizza peel or baking sheet with cornmeal. Stretch or roll out pizza dough into a 12-inch round and place on the prepared surface. Brush dough lightly with olive oil.
03 - Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear sliced steak for 2 to 3 minutes until just browned. Remove steak and set aside.
04 - In the same skillet, add bell peppers and onion. Sauté for 4 to 5 minutes until softened. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Season with kosher salt and black pepper then remove from heat.
05 - Evenly spread half of the combined cheese mixture over the dough. Layer steak and sautéed vegetables on top, then sprinkle remaining cheese over all.
06 - Transfer the pizza onto the hot stone or place the baking sheet in the oven. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until crust turns golden and cheese is melted and bubbly.
07 - Remove pizza from oven. Optionally, sprinkle with chopped parsley. Slice and serve warm.

# Chef’s Tips:

01 -
  • It's the comfort food mashup that somehow feels less heavy than the sandwich version but tastes even better.
  • You get that crispy crust, melty cheese, and perfectly cooked steak all in one slice—no sides needed.
  • It comes together in under an hour, which means you can impress people on a weeknight without stress.
02 -
  • Don't overload the pizza or the dough won't cook through—cheese and veggies pile up faster than you'd think.
  • If your steak is too thick or you cook it too long before the pizza hits the oven, it'll be tough and chewy instead of tender.
  • The oven needs to be genuinely hot, not just warm—a pizza stone really does make a difference in getting that crispy bottom crust.
03 -
  • Cook your steak and vegetables before assembling the pizza—this ensures they're properly seasoned and the timing works out so everything finishes cooking together.
  • If you have leftover roast beef from another meal, it's absolutely fantastic on this pizza and saves you a cooking step.
  • A light drizzle of cheese sauce over the finished pizza is delicious, and sautéed mushrooms work beautifully if you want to sneak in another vegetable.
